- Comment on Amazon is bricking its Astro business robots less than a year after launch 2 days ago:
wtf advantage does this thing have over just having security cameras? if i was a burglar i’d look for houses that had one of these just so i could break in and smash it. i wouldn’t even steal anything
- Comment on Netflix is starting to phase out its cheapest ad-free plan 4 days ago:
i’ve never bought netflix and went to visit some friends who had it. since they sleep until noon i had the morning to kill so i tried the netflix-- reminded me of the old days of flipping through hundreds of tv channels trying to find something to watch and finding nothing. “people pay for this shit?” was the initial thought
- Comment on Magnificent chunky shooter Selaco gets a 'MEGA' update 4 days ago:
Added “Resume Game” button in the main menu.
LOL it’s awesome and hilarious that they were so focused on violence that they forgot to include “resume game” in the not-violent bits of the code

i always wanted to get into the RE games but my thing i hate about myself is i want the whole story from the very beginning–ie, i don’t even want to start with part 2. but the pain of playing old ps1 games on pc has just kept me away

- Comment on Dell said return to the office or else—nearly half of workers chose “or else” 2 weeks ago:

- Comment on Pornhub to block two more states over age verification laws 2 weeks ago:
the fact that they can comfortably afford to just dump multiple states’ worth of customers just shows how mountainous the piles of cash they’re raking in are
- Comment on Life By You devs spent “a month in purgatory” prior to closure, says laid-off designer, despite their sim-like exceeding Paradox's expectations 2 weeks ago:
the people who fire you over public announcement effective immediately are the same ones who shit their pampers if someone quits without giving 2 weeks notice
- Comment on Surgeon general wants tobacco-style warning applied to social media platforms 2 weeks ago:
lol are you trying to say that the basic knowledge that humans (primates, really) don’t have an inherent urge to be included and well regarded by their peers is wrong? the perceived lack of which is causing all these social media problems in the first place? or are you just saying i’m wrong because i said something?
- Comment on Surgeon general wants tobacco-style warning applied to social media platforms 2 weeks ago:
ok. the urge to smoke cigarettes is not something all humans develop as they age, the way we develop the psychological need to “belong” and be popular with the in-crowd. but yea, keep thinking the solution to the cigarette problem will also be the solution to the 100% unrelated social problem
- Comment on Surgeon general wants tobacco-style warning applied to social media platforms 2 weeks ago:
i’m glad you also think a warning label on instatwitbooktok is going to accomplish anything. i guess we can look forward to no more social media addiction/bullying/suicides soon
- Comment on Surgeon general wants tobacco-style warning applied to social media platforms 2 weeks ago:
great idea genius. “do not eat the forbidden fruit” has worked soooo well from the beginning of time until now. social media is a problem, but it’s rooted in the same instinct that makes teenage fucking a problem–no one’s going to “solve” it. best you can do is educate and hope for the best
- Comment on Spotify’s HiFi add-on could cost an extra $5 per month 3 weeks ago:
so many people think they’re “audiophiles,” yet say “ok, that’s good” when you only pretended to boost the 4K but didn’t change a damn thing

do they think that making the consumer keep up with all these pay apps is something the average person is going to actually do? i’ll just use my fucking debit card like i have for the last few decades with no problem
- Comment on Instagram is testing “unskippable” ads that you can’t scroll past 4 weeks ago:
and they’ll only lose like 10 users. confoundingly everyone knows about enshittification and they watch it happen every day, but fake validation from fake friends apparently is about as easy to give up as meth
