If an ICE officer or IDF soldier quits, there will be others to take their place and the outcome will be the same.
They’re missing a lot of interesting information but it’s often people in less privileged countries.
On the one hand, that’s true but doesn’t impact the moral responsibility the workers have, but on the other hand, solidarity goes both ways and people in more privileged countries have not historically shown solidarity with those in less privileged countries.

I used to work at a call center for US-Americans in the US, where I was born. The number of times people responded with something like “lol no it’s not,” when I told them my name was infuriating. People used to ask me the weather or about my state history as a test, and I had a guy once call me padme the whole time, I think because he confused India and Naboo.

Tbh, I don’t think there is a good app alternative and my priority would be moving somewhere where I can do my own grocery shopping. You don’t need a car if you’re close enough to go twice a week. I know it’s not easy, but that would be what I was working towards. You’re paying a serious premium with things like instacart even before you get to the delivery.

Well, and whether intelligence is required for mastery of language. Not even that long ago, in 2009, my linguistics professor held a forum discussion within the linguistics, informatics, and philosophy departments at my school where they each gave their perspectives on whether true mastery of language could exist without intelligence.

Linguists were divided until recently, to be fair.
