  Android Auto doesn’t work by the car having android in it. It’s a connector that allows android phones to display the Android Auto UI on the cars infotainment.

  Also, with modern cars, android is probably the least of your worries.

  It will likely be disabled during driving but it’s still a great thing. I got a big screen in my car, I was always annoyed that I couldn’t use it to watch YouTube videos when charging. This might help with that.

  I don’t think a budget deck is likely tbh. The non oled deck already goes for 250 on sales. To make a clear distinction the budget one would need to be <150. And I don’t think that’s feasible with all the other hardware necessary alone. Except making it a lot smaller which I don’t think is a good approach.
