Sure, that’s a libertarian stance. Not necessarily an economic stance. Let the people gamble and do meth. Society and logic be damned.

Even without the socialist mindset, gambling isn’t creating more rich people. At best it’s creating very temporary wealth for a select few people.
Someone who is poor, capitalist, and financially literate would most likely use their meager money and debt pool to start or invest in a business. At the end of the day it’s about math.
I don’t think gambling works regardless of your definition economic viewpoint.

The general public supporting gambling shows there’s a problem with education and financial literacy. Gambling as a whole just funnels wealth from the poor to the rich. At least when gambling is govt controlled, it just funnels money into public services.
Best case you funnel money from thousands of poor people to a single poor person. That’s still just creating a bigger wealth gap. And in most cases, people who win have poor financial literacy, which causes them to lose that wealth in the long run.
Even if you support gambling, why should any amount of gambling DEBT be tolerated? People shouldn’t be gambling money they have but they definitely shouldn’t be gambling money they don’t have.

And this is how the prisonor’s dilemma is lost.
- Comment on Decksight, an OLED screen replacement for LCD decks, is now in crowdfunding 1 year ago:
Really depends on the content you consume. A lot of indie games and old games could benefit from 1080p. Especially with small text. And for more power hungry games you can always choose 720p

Oh woops. I must have missed it last time I checked ifixit.

Seems like they don’t sell replacement OLED screens yet either, which is a shame. Especially since they’ve been so good with replacement parts.
