- Comment on Nexus Mods is ending development on Nexus Mods App, their steam deck compatible mod loader, to focus fully on Vortex instead 1 day ago:
It’s too bad, every option for modding items running through proton honestly sucks.
Yes, it’s 100% doable, but Vortex was our only shot right now at getting it to the level where an average non-technical user could feel comfortable with it.
- Comment on Peter Molyneux's final game Masters of Albion will release in April - "it's the culmination of my life’s work" 3 days ago:
There are trailers, if we go in not expecting anything more than a Populous sequel, I think we’ll be fine.
- Comment on Valve discontinues the entry-level Steam Deck, considerably raising the starting price 3 weeks ago:
It makes some sense, the parts cost on the lower priced models could be a lot more painful.
I’m not gonna try to do a proper estimate on build prices on the Steam Deck, but the price of 16GB of DDR5 RAM was around $40 or even less a year ago and now we’re looking at $140. If that’s comparable here, that makes the margin look a lot rougher.
- Comment on Steam Machine – Powerful Enough? 1 month ago:
I don’t think they have a lot of interest in pursuing that market personally, I think the goal is to hit casual to average gamers. Kinda feel like they want to create an ecosystem and they’re going to leave the high end/pro market for other manufacturers to figure out.
- Comment on DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake out now and Steam Deck Playable 2 months ago:
It’s a Square Enix game, so they’re asking for full new game price, $60 US, and it also utilizes Denuvo.
- Comment on MicroProse reveal Dungeon Holdem a mixture of poker and dungeon crawling that looks ace 2 months ago:
Microprose, now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.
It seems like they’ve had a lot of companies licensing out the name for various minor things over the past few decades, but now some guy in Australia bought the name fully and is trying to buy up as much Microprose IP as he can to revitalize the company.
- Comment on 8BitDo announces it's controllers now have Steam/SteamOS compatibility 6 months ago:
Limited hardware support for fwupd. Mostly older models, ones mentioned don’t appear to be compatible.

The demo feels fairly complete. I lost a ton of time in it, you could play it right now.
- Comment on RimWorld - Odyssey will bring spaceship building, exploration and a lot more content 7 months ago:
Yeah, not wrong, is kind of annoying, but is also cool. SOS2 has always been a special mod in rimworld, great concept but long gaps between breaking updates and fixes. I totally get it too, the scope on SOS2 is kinda crazy for a mod, it’s a lot. If you were going to replicate a rimworld mod as DLC, I can’t imagine a better one to pick.
I do wonder how the SOS2 team is reacting. I hope they take the opportunity to scale back on some of the pieces they have to maintain and try to bring some of the stuff that doesn’t make it into the official DLC into the newer versions.
- Comment on We Can Now Get Steam Deck Buttons Made Out Of Stone 9 months ago:
I really wonder how they’d consistently source that, but mostly I just hope I never ever hear about it again.

Wobbly Life is a pretty good one. It has online capabilities but no chat, communication is limited to a very small subset of emojis.
