- Comment on Extraction shooter spinoff EVE Vanguard will let you salvage ships destroyed in EVE Online, then flog the parts back to their owners 2 weeks ago:
Well, maybe you know better than me. But from what I’ve heard about EVE wars those are rather “burning through ISK to rebuy the destroyed ships. The side that outgrinds the other wins”
I doubt there will be a lot of better gear to buy after 50-100hs. And AFAIK that’s nothing in EVE world.
That’s what? Around a month of 3hs everynight? “Hold my monitor…” - Comment on Extraction shooter spinoff EVE Vanguard will let you salvage ships destroyed in EVE Online, then flog the parts back to their owners 2 weeks ago:
Because then it wouldn’t count as you helping with the war
I don’t play EVE. But guessing from other MMOs, for those interested in being in a group often the point is more about taking a part in the group effort than pure in-game gain

I mean, I would expect such reclaimed stuff to be cheaper. Or the seller to be able to set the price, which in orgs could be defined from the top (peak capitalism)

I guess it might be interesting for orgs (I’m not sure that’s how those are named in EVE lingo). Instead of just gathering ISK to fuel your war, an org could also have a Vanguard branch that would focus on reclaiming parts of the fallen ships in order to lower the costs of running a war

But if the forks are able to tear out the gapps, shouldn't this "cert" check go with it? I understand that the check would have to be in the installer app. Even if it's a part of launching mechanism, it should also be possible to tear it out
Linux Phones, are not alternatives.
I'm sorry, I don't follow. AFAIK GRUB did not need to get some blessing to get installed on UEFI. So Linux Phones should be free of big tech gatekeeping. This exchange we are having here is on technology community, not privacy (where I would get your point)

The way I understand what /e/OS is, it sounds like it should be able to not include this check
