- Comment on Midjourney pivots from AI image generation to body scanning medical spa where patients bathe in 'golden light' 3 days ago:
It’s not very reassuring how they call it “ the midjourney scanner, or how they put the organs on the wrong side in their image, or how the image is completely unreadable…
- Comment on Disgruntled ASML employees threaten to boycott Elon Musk conference appearance — staff express ire at political involvement and 'Nazi sympathies' 1 week ago:
Unlike Elon Musk’s companies (except for in part SpaceX and Tesla’s contribution to EV development & popularity in the past), ASML brings actual value. It is one of the most important companies in the world. Why would they invite a snake oil salesman to their conference? Why lower yourself to his idiocratic level?
This is like inviting RFK jr to a preventative health care conference where vaccines are discussed.
- Comment on Milei’s proposal to allow ‘non-human corporations’ run by AI causes concern in Argentina 2 weeks ago:
I don’t agree. The company will still be owned by humans and AI will always be controlled by humans in some way. It will have the assignment to put (short-term) profit above everything else and it will do so in ways a human couldn’t have imagined, which will be the horrible stuff that is happening today and on top of that everything the AI will think of.
It will also be easier for the owner to detach themselves from the heinous actions of the company, since it is the AI making the decisions. This will cause any decision that is made with the last shred of humanity from these CEO’s to fall in the direction of maximising profits instead.
This will surely pave the way for the dystopian society that we all fear is coming.
- Comment on Elsevier vs Meta: first science publisher sues over scraped research papers 5 weeks ago:
I know, and that is a silver lining, but of course developing countries are hit much harder by the oil crisis than developed countries. We just pay more for our oil and that’s it. They can’t do that and they also don’t have the resources to make the transition as quickly.

Not in the straight of Hormuz…

An AI of an already existing AI? What is this, AInception?
- Comment on Meta buried 'causal' evidence of social media harm, US court filings allege 6 months ago:
You won’t get everyone to stop, obviously, just like there are a lot of people who still smoke. But there are much fewer people who smoke now than in the sixties and even than in 2000.
And you have to keep trying to help people to stop, because – using the smoking analogy again – now we have vaping as a gateway drug to smoking, and quitting rates are much lower in third-world countries.
Anyways, I did quit FB, instagram and never had a twitter/X account. Phasing out reddit as well. Not trying to be harsh, but the fact that you didn’t make it doesn’t mean no one else can.
- Comment on Meta buried 'causal' evidence of social media harm, US court filings allege 6 months ago:
Who thought otherwise? I mean imagine if tobacco companies controlled our main source of media (which they probably did in the past). Just stop using FB, instagram, X and all those apps.

I usually receive my sentence only after I misbehave
