Bug was that it saved a user visible transcript of those uninitiated recordings. Bug is fixed and it’ll save a transcript of prompted coversations only.
For the user, yes.
they put the arse into arstechnica by pretending this is a bug
Bug Feature
Yeah. Why do I get a feeling that the fixee bug was the saving conversations part and not the non-consensual eavesdropping.
Easiest way to not have your glasses recording everything you do is weirdly enough not to have glasses that record everything you do. Weird suggestion I know, but 100% foolproof
Like what are you doing that’s so fucking important that you need special glasses to record it? Why not use normal cameras at that point which are not connected to Facebook shit?
I’m also surprised someone with glasses like this hasn’t been subpoenaed if they were present at the scene of a crime, then convicted as an accomplice because the argument was made they saw it happen and did nothing about it. An example would be you’re shopping, someone nearby steals something, and you didn’t see them because you were looking down, but your glasses recorded them anyway.
bug? right.
Great job by Ray Ban. I’ve owned a few over the years but this partnership has made sure I will never buy one again 👍🏻
Good luck avoiding Essilor Luxottica.
Actually not that hard. There are plenty of smaller independent sunglass manufacturers
I hate clickbate titles
That it ejects 200 syringes right into your eyeball while wearing it? Oh, so no one else has that fear?

We’re supposed to believe this was a ”bug”? 😂
Maybe in the eavesdropping definition of that word.
