- Comment on Love 'em or hate 'em, if it weren't for the Sonic the Hedgehog films, the blue blur might have been canned entirely, so says series boss Takashi Iizuka 1 week ago:

The ARM port will still be great for the steam machine and deck.
- Comment on PS5 Linux dev quits after "the only hypervisor bug left" was reported to Sony 2 weeks ago:
Pretty much.
The scene used to be a group of highly talented researchers, but now it is just a bunch of noobs using LLMs and writing hacks they don’t even understand. Slop kiddies found the only hypervisor bug left, which I had also found a while ago, and decided to report to Sony.
I asked them to at least wait for GTA 6 to come out so that people would have the opportunity to legally purchase the game and also enjoy linux. They agreed to wait, but not a day passed and they decided to waste it instead."
Like any sort of jailbreak or homebrew, the dev relied on a bug in the PS5 code to install Linux. The script kiddies ruined it all by reporting the bug and presumably getting it patched out by Sony.
I don’t know the mechanics of how this project uses said bug, but I would assume the entire project is dead in the water for any new OS updates for the PS5. Unless someone finds a new bug to exploit, only people who didn’t update their PS5 can still install the Linux project.
- Comment on Keychron announced "ZGM", open-source firmware for gaming mice 2 months ago:
I so desperately want someone to make a new MMO mouse with the pinky button like the old Logi G600.
My second one is showing signs of failing. Thankfully I got my first for spare parts, and a new one sealed away for when that time comes.
They used to be like $45 before they discontinued them several years ago.

More like Noita than Terraria. Demo is a lot of fun.

- Comment on Valve reconfirm the Steam Frame, Steam Machine and Steam Controller are due in 2026 6 months ago:
I managed to play it half decently on a 1050ti lol. I would say about 60-75% ran at good framerates.

So they’re saying that chat bots are really just glorified search auto-complete and don’t actually have any ability to think or calculate?..
I’m shocked!
Shocked!
- Comment on Engineers Discovered the Spectacular Secret to Making 17x Stronger Cement 11 months ago:
In a new study from Princeton University, scientists turned toward the humble oyster and its iridescent composite material nacre for design inspiration.
Matching the characteristics of nacre at the microscopic level, the researchers were able to increase the toughness of cement some 17 times, as compared to a cement block on its own.
- Comment on "The cat's out of the bag" - Stardew Valley update 1.7 revealed, bagged cat content TBC 1 year ago:
I think the article is alright. It has good info for people that know nothing about Stardew’s history regarding updates. Sure, for those of us heavily into Stardew it’s all stuff we already know, but most players don’t follow news like we do.
- Comment on Bunnyhop elsewhere, streamers: EA are making Battlefield 6 more strategic, less run-and-gun following the beta 1 year ago:
As a person who prefers shooters that are more tactical and methodical, I don’t mind those changes. Granted, I don’t really play battlefield that much.
- Comment on Steam is getting wider and more responsive store pages 1 year ago:
This is good news 😊
Browsing Steam on an ultrawide monitor leaves an awful lot of unused space.
