Roberts has never willingly drawn a line in the sand.

No, Roberts forced several pointless rewrites of core systems.

Absolve? No, I’m laying more blame.

Not a complete scam, just a buggy mess caused by mismanagement and constant forced rewrites.
Roberts micromanages every aspect of the game, but fucks off for months at a time before rejecting whatever work has been submitted to him.
So his art teams and devs all have to twiddle their thumbs waiting on him.
Roberts also has a habit of firing design teams and hiring on a new team to redo all the work.
He also has a feature creep problem. Keeps adding new shit to the requirements.
The man has never released a game on time, and the only reason he’s released anything, was a publisher stepping in and taking over.
But yes, the ship sales are pure scam.

It is harsh. I’m hoping for the AI bubble to crash. For a lot of reasons, but partially so that I can buy parts at reasonable prices.

It is, but my current setup is struggling.

Microsoft has driven me away from Windows at least a half dozen times over the last 20 years.
Each time the siren call of some game or another will pull me back.
I’d played with Linux native games as well, but most of the greats were Windows only.
And yeah, then Proton.
Now I’m trying to save up the small fortune needed for a computer upgrade, and I’m not even planning to pirate Windows.

I live dangerously with my fully up to date Arch box.
But I also have an LTS Ubuntu box that’s been humming away in the background for about the last five-ish years? Just a quiet little file server, doing its job and being ignored.
