- Comment on Chinese memory ban would cut off RAMpocalypse relief 4 days ago:
Chinese RAM production is mostly going to end up in Chinese AI datacenters, as per government mandate.
In 2025, [Chinese] authorities introduced requirements that data centers obtain at least 50% of their chips from domestic manufacturers - and by November that year, state-funded projects reportedly faced additional restrictions that excluded foreign accelerators from facilities still under construction.
There is not going to be a Chinese RAMPocalypse relief either way.

Or the RAM manufacturers themselves who have formed a cartel and are deliberately doing this.

Yeah, he only fucked up if you believe that he actually wants to govern and not just line his own pockets and those of his oligarch circle. And this whole AI thing has been massively profitable for all the oligarchs involved. Consumers, the plebs, are paying for all of it as usual.
- Comment on Microsoft May Remove Windows 11 Online Login Requirement 3 months ago:
Also you can’t really trust all these “rollback” claims they are throwing around at the moment. We know what Microslop thinks is the future of their OS, because they have literally poured billions of dollars into AI development. This is just them attempting to sugarcoat their giant turd, lure people into feeling obligated to continue with Windows 11 as they will then gradually turn up the sloppification again.

Because of money. Why pay someone to do actual work when you can get an AI to plagiarise and hallucinate for free?
- Comment on Are We Ready to Be Governed by Artificial Intelligence? 6 months ago:
No we are not ready, and should never be ready, but that won’t stop the techbro oligarchs from implementing it.
