I’m sorry I didn’t realize before, but happy cake day! 🎂
I haven’t used Turtle Beach since the 360, so I can’t give you much there. I’ve had the 8BitDo since before Christmas last year and it is solid!
The dock holds the USB receiver so it works both on Fedora and Windows when I switch between them. Steam seems to recognize it as its own thing, and if you hold the B button when taking it off the dock or using the middle power button, it’ll switch to SDL mode and allow you to map the back paddles and the extra top number buttons to whatever you want! Plus the gyro stuff, but I don’t use that.
Hopefully that helps you a little more in your search! LTT (LinusTechTips) did a video on YouTube about a few third party controllers. You might watch that also to see if one of the controllers they show in that video suits your needs more! :-)

You can look into the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless. It is what I use, comes with a charging dock, TMR sticks, and I’m sure some other things you might like.
I liked it so much I got two more for my friends who really liked how the sticks felt. It was $60 when I got them all. :-)

Why would that be safe to assume? As far as I can see, the US admin wouldn’t bat an eye if Google had a monopoly on the internet standards.
Just going off a quick glance here I can see the latest Fox corpos buying Roku. There was the Bytedance merger too.
I’m not trying to argue with you, but you seems to have high hopes, and I would like to have some hope myself if you can explain your reasons to me?
- Comment on Steam Controller shows signs of life, as leaker suggests that Valve has received its "first large quantity" shipments 2 months ago:
Got the Rii 4 recently to use with my Steam Deck since I got tired of my Roku I bought 6 years ago sending (and getting blocked by my PiHole/router combo) that I unplugged it and threw it into a drawer. Excellent little piece of kit!
- Comment on Your Antenna TV Shouldn’t Need the Internet — But Roku Made It So 2 months ago:
Oh man. Let me tell you about what I saw from the Roku I got back in 2020 or so.
I got a pihole before or shortly after my Roku. The PiHole showed my most blocked device being.. the Roku. Almost over 4000 DNS requests denied, especially after I fully blocked them on the PiHole because I got tired of their ads being shown when all I’m turning the damn thing on for is Plex/Jellyfin.
They don’t like that one bit! Get this, for the time to be accurate, it MUST have connection to their servers. Not just once, mind you. Every day I leave my house, I turn off things, the Roku being one of them. I turn it off by turning off the extension it is plugged into. Every time I turned it back on, it would just show the time you cut it off at. So, if it was 8 AM when you turned it off, and it is now 9 PM, well, the clock on the Roku would still be around 8 AM.
So, yeah. Now, I just use my Steam Deck as my watching device, hooked up to the dock. Added benefit of not having to “sideload” (read install) a YouTube IPA onto my phone. Fuckers.
