I feel bad who go through that, but if someone is deranged enough to have a mental breakdown with a chatbot, then they were danger of that anyway. I don’t think it’s a reason to censor and downgrade all chatbots. ChatGPT is almost unusable now because they dialed down everything so much because of the incels that fell in love with their chats.

lots of cities/states/countries have laws restricting what types of knives people can own, some even restricting what ages at which people can own certain knives, and have for a long time.
lots of things have restricted ownership because they are dangerous. this is not a new concept.
