  • Steam Machine is a mid gaming PC.
  • You could DIY a similar or slightly more powerful machine yourself for cheaper, but not that much cheaper.
  • Your DIY would probably not be as small or as quiet though.

    I’d definitely call it “low-end” instead of mid. My low-mid-range $300 6700 from four years ago runs circles around the Steam Machine.

      Yeah, they’re only the ones who did the hours of extensive testing based on years of experience in their field to come to their conclusions, which they also selflessly packaged into an informative table instead of making people watch the whole video for that info - why should they get the eyeballs for their work when I could just play the role of a bloodsucking AI and regurgitate it for some lazy dipshit on Lemmy instead?

        Hmm looked like he did change his format. That is pleasantly surprising.

        That was the number one reason I stopped watching. Every video required way too much investment.
