I mean two things can be true at once.
It’s true that there are a lot of pc games that are trying to avoid the GTA6 release window, to the point it creates a 3 month void of games (right around christmas too!) and I suppose it’s for good reason.
It’s also true that roberts is a scammer and you should not belive his lies because SC and S42 are scams.

Not a complete scam, just a buggy mess caused by mismanagement and constant forced rewrites.
Roberts micromanages every aspect of the game, but fucks off for months at a time before rejecting whatever work has been submitted to him.
So his art teams and devs all have to twiddle their thumbs waiting on him.
Roberts also has a habit of firing design teams and hiring on a new team to redo all the work.
He also has a feature creep problem. Keeps adding new shit to the requirements.
The man has never released a game on time, and the only reason he’s released anything, was a publisher stepping in and taking over.
But yes, the ship sales are pure scam.

I know of his issues, but they hardly absolve him of blame.

Absolve? No, I’m laying more blame.

We needto invent an entirely new term to describe the level of feature creep Star Citizen has suffered.

I’ve supported enough indie devs on Patreon to know “forced rewrites” are what they say when they want the grift to keep going, because that’s what the model financially rewards, eternal development.

No, Roberts forced several pointless rewrites of core systems.

I keep seeing pointless engine upgrades and version bumps to dependencies. Every engineer knows at some point you have to draw a line in the sand
