I’ve seen a couple devs talk about in on their YouTube channels. They call it a chicken and egg problem. It’s hard to develop for a platform if you don’t expect a decent sized audience. And nobody wants to buy hardware if there are no games for it.
Hopefully Valve can break through that, because I hate having horrible spyware like the Quest as the industry standard.

Most are old, when the Vive and then the Index arrived. Lots are janky old VR titles. Alyx is the first real game we got. The rest are locked behind the shitty Quest and PSVR. There's plenty of silly little experiences, but the amount of actual games with substance is low.
