TheMinions@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 week agoI’ve used this one before. Tbh I’m not having an issue keeping the 30 FPS and if I drop textures further I could probably tweak and get the game to run solidly at 40 FPS, so 60 would be easy with LSFG.
It really just the pop in and hair textures. Some candelabras in the Shinra Mansion were loading JUST the candle flames until I was about 2 feet away from them haha.
Out on the grasslands I’m seeing some lost frames, but I think getting a specific shader replacement for large textures, like mountainside, might be able to alleviate that.

It impresses me how far Linux gaming has come as well as what we’re all able to squeeze out of the Deck in 2026.
I think we agree that keeping a solid framerate is more important than having a high framerate.
I hope you get it Squared (I’ll see myself out)!
