Comment on [Discussion] What was first Steam game you ever purchased?
thingsiplay@lemmy.ml 6 days agoDude getting Orange Box is like the lottery back then. :D Which puzzle quest do you refer to? Searching Steam gets me so many different games, and only one of them is puzzle quest 3, which is Free to Play.

Puzzle quest: challenge of the warlords was the original, it was such a unique and polished take on the match 3/bejeweled gameplay.
They just remastered it with puzzle quest immortal edition, which I’ve taken to playing over the original, it’s perfect 1 hand gaming, though I understand that has a different connotation these days, I’m still using the term to mean I have an animal or a small human taking residence on some portion of my body

Ah now I remember. I knew the name, now that I see it, that is the Intriguing match game with RPG elements. Always wondered how it works. The trailers at least aren’t doing a great job.
BTW having an animal in my hand (it was a duckling back then) was also a reason I started playing a different game: Underlords from Valve. In fact I just played it a few days ago for remembering old days, as the game died 6 years ago. Whenever I mention that I needed one hand free while gaming, I got weird looks.
