Diplomjodler@feddit.de 1 year agoThis is just failsafe so you can still drive if the screen is unavailable. Drive mode selection is automatic and you can also select it on the screen. For the record, I also think it’s dumb to put it there, but let’s get the facts straight.

yeah most cars I’ve driven have that knob/button right next to the screen. Not sure why this is a “failsafe”.

It's there so that if the Infotainment system faults you can still move the vehicle around safely
