I remember as a kid hearing that Marilyn Manson had his bottom two ribs removed specifically so he could do this.
I wonder how popular that rumor was.

It was a nation wide rumor with many variations. There are other artists that get thrown into the rumor as well. It’s reached urban legend status at this point.
