Unfortunately that’s gonna be a problem with a lot of companies for a bit, not just Discovery. Writer’s strikes are often followed by a flood of cheap reality bullshit since it’s the only content studios can make with zero talented people involved.

Are you dense? You’re making the top pay rate 5 years in vs 22 years in. That’s 17 extra years of getting paid at the top rate. That’s a lot of money.

What negative press? They’re no longer going to do business in a particular market for completely normal reasons. This isn’t some kind of scandal, it’s a standard decision for a company to make if it isn’t profitable. Everyone besides you seems to understand this.

Sometimes you gotta take a small loss for the overall benefit of the company/system.
You really don’t think Twitch did some analysis on this matter before making a decision? Or do you just figure that your uninformed assumptions about their financials are more accurate than their internal analysis?

It will never be enjoyable, but we will make sure people feel the urge to keep logging in to grind their dailies so their purchase of a battle pass can be justified. Ever since we started allowing pre-orders it was already profitable, and we stopped caring about quality.
