After eight months of legal wrangling by her attorney, prosecutors dropped the bond violation charge against her. And, last month, she went to trial on the battery charge and was acquitted.

Because that takes more time and actual work. By forcing her to trial, prosecutors and police get to up their numbers.

“Text” is almost always used no matter what actual messaging service was used.
Also how would AI have sent a SMS to his phone from her? It was likely an ai generated screenshot of messages.
