kartoffelsaft@programming.dev 11 hours agoHow many of your friends you game with are non-linux users? That sometimes happens, but rarely. Usually they’ll still play these titles when I’m not around. In fact the most common thing I’ve seen is they’ve already bought/downloaded the game and they’ll ask if I’m willing to join, to which I’ll say it doesn’t run. Everyone I’ve met tries to accomodate for that particular play session, but they don’t extend that as far as their purchasing habits.

As I wrote it doesn’t mean they don’t play it, but it means they play it less.

2/2 of the people I play with regularly are non-Linux. I’ve been trying to get them to switch. They’re technologically literate, for the most part, so they’d do fine over here. One issue is one does audio stuff (he makes music sometimes) and that’s got some issues transferring, and that’s the one more likely to switch over. The other one could without an issue but just doesn’t want to go through setting up a new system.
