    He announced that he was done updating the game a few times now, and would start working on Terraria 2, but the sequel fell through afaik

      Nah Terraria Elseworld (otherworld?) fell through. It was going to be a spin-off/sequel before they cancelled it and later announced Terraria 2. T2 is still in development I believe (and pray).

  I thought it was waaay bigger, like 10x times more. Dirty cheap, kids-friendly, lan-friendly with coop, you can sit idle and manage your pace etc. It’s not my fav, but it have very huge advantages over like most games and it shared a part of this minecraft fever. It’s weird it got to that point just now.
