It’s not the already released games they’re excited about. It’s the IP ownership. Why create something new when you can recycle old ideas for cheaper?

Maybe I’m a bit of a luddite but many of those “outdated” games have far better gameplay and stories than games today.

Honestly, there aren’t many games in their back catalogue that I’m interested in. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Hexen and Warcraft 3 maybe, there may be more but those are the ones that come to mind. But I’m not invested in those enough to want to subscribe to Game Pass or buy an Xbox.

Master Chief, Conker, Commander Keen and Vault Boy in Heroes of the Storm, got it!

Bringing back Guitar Hero and making it Xbox exclusive would surely turn some heads.

Honestly though, if they can allow me to play call of duty without the dumb launcher, I’d be happy. The launcher was only one of the many reasons I opted not to buy MW3

And coming to gamepass when exactly?
Goronmon@lemmy.world 1 year ago
That’s the question isn’t it? I believe they’ve already stated not to expect anything before the end of the year. But we’ll see how long it takes for turned to show up after that.

It’d be great if they re-released sc2 but retconned most of the story to make it not flaccid and disappointing.

Excited about renting it out to you a month at a time with an ever increasing cost

For now, at least, Game Pass is definitely the best deal in subscriptions these days. It’s honestly wild to me that it’s not more expensive.
But for sure give it time and it’ll be like $500 a year.

Netflix a decade ago. Wow, this is so amazing. What a deal. How could it go wrong
Netflix today, okay, which subscription service to we get this month, I want to watch this show, but Sarah wants to watch that show and the other show we were watching got deleted from the service so we just can’t watch that one. If only we could learn from this situation

I suspect they are taking the Spotify approach. They will have a low price for a great value to monopolize the market. Then over time increase the price and reduce features and value.
