    If that makes it through, that's unexpected but welcome news. Hopefully the other governments looking to enact this (foolish) legislation will follow.

      Hopefully it pushes people to adopt open source operating systems, which would now have another big advantage

    The age verification is a blatant lie. It was always about ID verification and tracking.

    Marketing companies want to ID bots and collect real marketing data to sell for advertising. Governments want to track citizens and isolate any dissidents and nonconformists as well as track spending and therefore collect more tax revenue.
