You can turn this off by changing the channel visibility for shared links in the Privacy settings:
Never share YouTube links with their source identifier.

I'm confused, how does the recipient access the sharer's username from this?
Google is revealing the username with a popup that says
“Sent by [display username]
@[username at registration]”
I see that in the screenshot, but I don't see how to actually expose that once you have the URL. For instance, I can grab a YT link from just about any Discord server I'm in right now, and almost all of them have trackers at the end. But when I click them, I don't see anything that reveals the sharer's details, it just looks like a normal YT page. I'm not sure where you actually get to the screen in that screenshot.

What does this do that pipepipe doesn’t? Couldn’t understand why it was so buggy and huge, like its half a gig in storage.
