I really enjoyed the demo, enough to back the kickstarter which I haven’t done for years.
I played a ton of ST:bridge crew so looking for something to scratch that itch.

This seems too good to be true, or at least like a naive dev who’s got pie in the sky dreams… After playing the demo do you have any hope that it lives up to this overview’s expectations?
I would fully suggest trying the demo if you haven’t. It’s on steam. Took me about 40 mins to do both demo bits, but you can run around the whole ship.
I live in hope it will live up to the expectations. But I am fully aware I could be throwing my money away.
Looking at the roadmap on their discord, it doesn’t seem too far fetched at all of the Kickstarter keeps going as well as it is.
Curious to what the actual gameplay will be. Starship walking sim?
And button pushing!

There’s a F2P student/fan project game on Steam based on the show The Orville. You can fly and explore the entire ship, as well as take a shuttle out for a drive.
There are tons of rooms to check out, all the decks, you can customize your own crew member, there’s multiplayer, and there’s even the holodeck.
It’s totally free and it’s actually pretty cool, though there aren’t any real goals or anything. It’s just a fun little thing.

The lead from that game and the guy making Starship Simulator are one and the same! He also worket on Stage9, that Enterprise D fan model that CBS took down.
