Might depend on the game, but it doesn’t look like you can with FO4 unfortunately. Some folks might have to roll back with a cracked/“pirated” version of the game they bought because they chose not to allow rollbacks for the game. Weak sauce Bethesda.

My first step when modding a game is to turn off Auto-Updates for this reason.

They are more worried about new players than the ones that gave them money almost a decade ago. This upgrade gives them an excuse to put the game on storefront pages again.
