Glad co-op is finally here, going to get some good use out of my dock.
The new engine is finally out for PC, nice. That means better performance in endgame maps.

It's also out on Switch now. I'm sure this community is eager to play it on a handheld device.
Does Co-op work between the two? I own both, I’m not going to convince my wife to buy herself a Steam Deck but she might happily waste 15 mins beside me on the Switch.
It has local co-op, plug your steam deck into a TV and get a controller.
sees argument saying the community wants to play it on a handheld device
steam deck exists

Oh look, cramming multiplayer into a game that doesn’t need it, what a surprise. What’s next, always online DRM?
This is local multiplayer, and it’s a fun free addition. In general this game has been extremely generous about adding new content for free, and characterizing this as a bad addition is misguided at best.
Is the new engine enabled by default? Because I have 3 options for Betas:
My understanding is this engine was previously only available in beta, but now it’s available to everyone. So you should be fine picking none.
Thanks I’ll switch off the beta then!

I have said something similar before.
Spoiler alert: people are not always up to co-op with you, so you may end up playing by yourself and not getting good use out of your dock
Did they nerf anything?
Nice I just started playing again, perfect to try 100%
Tired me thought this was about Darkstalkers 3 before clicking the link.
If that's what you want, Capcom Fighting Collection works on Deck even though it's marked unsupported

This is the best summary I could come up with:
Thanks to the move to Unity, the performance on Steam Deck is many times better too making it an actually Verified experience.
Just don’t expect lots of little updates like before, since it’s a much larger game project now.
They said larger features were getting “borderline impossible” to develop with their old game engine.
That’s something we’ve been doing in most events (since TGS 2022): hiding some of the future content for the game in plain sight, but this time it blew up online!
While the actual menu screen might never appear in game, all the new content shown in that version is scheduled to be fully developed and released in future free updates.
So here’s a sneak peak of a handful among the dozens of characters and weapons that are getting developed for 2023 and beyond:
