One of our coworkers keeps telling us to trust AI.
We’re like, we get to to generate some code but we always check it. The coworker was like, nah you should just trust it. We’re like, why? He said you should just train it until it gets to the state where you want.
We were like, we’re competent in our fields and we wouldn’t want to use anything in production that’s not checked by a human. Even if it wasn’t checked by a human we should have some checks for sure. Not sure why he’s so adamant about not checking anything.

Anyone else hate this lazy response to anything gaming related?
- Comment on Three years later, the Steam Deck has dominated handheld PC gaming 4 months ago:
Compatibility is one thing and a heck of a important one.
The software and interface is great too. It’s not perfect at all. However, the fact that the power button suspends and resumes my games and I can just select from a menu and stuff. It’s a big deal. Like, I’m a programmer but I get tired at the end of a work day.
- Comment on Happy three years to the Steam Deck - the Linux gaming machine that changed everything 4 months ago:
I bought so many indie games over the years that I felt like was not enough for my desktop. I know that sounds stupid but I’d want to play high end games on my desktop or maybe mouse and keyboard games rather than any controller.
After getting a steam deck I plowed through that list and they were amazing. I got the dock and have a controller too.
I loved my Switch but I gave that to my nephews … The Steam Deck requires a bit more configuration which makes it perfect for me.

The citizens need them against the companies for AI really but it’s always “get used to it” and it’s all capitalism and stuff.
- Comment on Microsoft CEO earns $30.6 million more despite laying off over 2,000 employees in 2024 — salary package represents a 63% raise from the previous year 8 months ago:
When CEOs say they feel it when they need to do layoffs, I think they mean in their wallets.

I’m not getting it but those gaming chairs look like racing car chairs. I didn’t think those seats were particularly comfortable either because I thought they kept you in place when things you’re zipping around?
- Comment on God of War Ragnarök released and Steam Deck Verified, needs a launch option for Desktop Linux 9 months ago:
I think they could be referring to requiring a Sony PS account to play this game much like HellDivers 2.
- Comment on Windows Media Player and Silverlight are losing legacy DRM services on Windows 7 and 8 9 months ago:
I convinced my parent company like 10 years ago to stop the push to Silverlight. We were a .NET shop so it made certain sense and we were basically writing apps, but I had to tell them that MS was killing it and it was better to stick to web apps.

- Comment on Microsoft: Copilot ‘app’ on Windows Server mistakenly added by Edge 1 year ago:
I’m using Outlook on my Android phone for my really old school Hotmail account. Yes, I have Gmail too but this is just one I’ve had for years.
When I tried opening an external link it asked me if I wanted to use Edge and has it selected above my “default FF” option… I mean, what the hell guys.

- Comment on Linda Hamilton says she wouldn't star in a 'Terminator' reboot: 'It's been done to death' 1 year ago:
The lore itself is uninteresting at this point. The timeline seems done to death and none of it is interesting. I think the core of T2 is a horror movie where you get a nightmarish killer chasing our heroes. I think T2s story and lore works around that core perfectly. The other movies seem to work around a “twist” or some other gimmick that the core feels missing or inadequate.

- Comment on I'm sorry little one... 1 year ago:
I got it only a few months ago. I can wait a while for another. I’m still impressed what this little bugger can do. Also, then again I never bothered with the Switch OLED neither so I may not be the best.
- Comment on 1 year ago:
I was skeptical at first and I finally gave in two weeks ago and it arrived last week.
I love my Steam Deck, this seems dumb but I actually use it to stream my ps5 and more intensive PC games. It easier to move around and pick up and put down. I’ve started to play games I bought years ago. Finished Limbo and Inside and playing Bioshock Remastered.
- Comment on Everything Should Be As Easy to Upgrade As the Steam Deck - Wired 1 year ago:
I really wish they were able to solve the battery issue. I bought my Deck like a week ago and battery is something that usually goes with time.
I’m glad to hear an explanation as to why the battery is as glued as aggressively.
