Not a gamedev but a dev nonetheless. Execs decided managers, POs need to develop too now with AI. This will become a real shit show. Who’s reviewing that garbage? AI? We dont even run full feedback loops yet due to security concerns.
On the other hand a dev colleague refused to do a 40h course of new techstack on company time because AI will solve it. Ehh.
Those who survive this storm will have plenty job opportunities to fix all the bullshit.
I’m in ops and my director said they wanted product to be able to prompt engineer our system. I said we have a huge distributed cloud native system that interacts with services in other AWS accounts and all that. He was like, yeah, he wants me to at a whim spin up a new environment for them to do it.
I was like, what happens when they prompt something that fucks the VPC or security groups or configuration, who tracks that? what about the resulting PRs? who are they going to harass if something doesn’t work? am I going to be wasting my time debugging an AI slop environment? I don’t even have the time to fully implement the observability I want in prod and I’m supposed to waste my time supporting this bullshit?
“Steam keys are not included in this purchase.”
Pardon my ignorance, but how does this work? And are these games Linux compatible?
They’re DRM free downloads afaik. On Linux you would just run them with Proton by adding them to Steam/Heroic/Faugus etc I assume.
I fairly frequently try out games made for Windows, released on Itch, me running Linux.
Yeah, some are not well optimized… but these are basically alpha builds of indie games, so, yeah basically, works pretty much as well it can.
Can’t say I’ve ever had a technical issue with anything that his 1.0.
The bundle is on itch.io so you download the games from that site. Most of the time you download a zip or an installer for each game.
If you check out the bundle on itch.io you can filter by platform.
