- Comment on Bazzite the popular SteamOS-like Linux gets NVIDIA support in Beta 2 weeks ago:
Yes, with one caveat: it isn’t going to work like a lot of other distros when it comes to installing packages. If you need help, use the uBlue forums.
Otherwise, it’s great, and very stable.
- Comment on Swapping LCD drive into new OLED 4 weeks ago:
I’ve cloned a drive from my LCD to use in my OLED. It’s mostly fine, but occasionally (every few days), the interface would crash. Weirdly, those crashes went away with time, so maybe an update resolved the crashing I was experiencing?
If you want to reliably leave your games on standby for any amount of time, it’s probably best to use a fresh image instead of reusing the existing installation from the LCD model.
- Comment on Decksight, an OLED screen replacement for LCD decks, is now in crowdfunding 1 month ago:
Oh yeah. Small text is a fair point, and one that I hadn’t considered.
I’m just trying to get a decent framerate for my 3D platformers and horror games and the Deck isn’t exactly impressing me at 800p 😭

1080p is a terrible way to “upgrade” your Steam Deck.
- Comment on DOOM + DOOM II enhanced versions get Steam Deck Verified 4 months ago:
This is so true. The state of gaming on the Steam Deck is great right now. Even the foreboding
unsupported
status is only ever really a problem with asinine anti-cheat, and that’s just like a handful of games that aren’t worth playing in the first place. - Comment on Valve confirms it'll support the ROG Ally with its Steam Deck operating system 5 months ago:
It’s missing trackpads, which is a pretty big oversight for a device like that.
- Comment on Will anything dethrone the Steam Deck? Probably not -GamingonLinux 6 months ago:
It’s almost everything. You can play most games in Linux. You can’t bolt-on the quality of life features that Valve has on Windows.
There’s a reason most Steam Deck users don’t install Windows on it, even though you can.
- Comment on 5 years later Valve finally gives Windows compatibility tool Proton a logo 10 months ago:
They’ve been too busy doing god’s work to get around to something like making an icon 🫡
But seriously: I think the icon looks nice 🙂
