Guns are used to shoot. Cars are used to drive around.
I couldn’t possibly care less if the government knew exactly where and when people shoot what guns. I care that the government tracks where anyone is going at all times (because cars are required to exist in a lot of the world). The reason the government might track guns is to tell where they’re going and to ideally curb sales to criminals, whereas the reason the government might (does) track cars is straight up surveillance.

The only reason I’m vaguely looking at a PS5 is to play Astro bot. And it can wait like a decade to be available on emulators
- Comment on Subnautica 2 early access should last "2 to 3 years" - it'll launch with "several biomes" and "some narrative" 2 months ago:
I was wanting to play it with friends but I’m just gonna have to wait for release. Subnautica on EA release was garbage compared to 1.0.

No, not really. Of course if you are using a disk that’s full you’re going to have issues but as long as you have 16Gb free the performance will largely be the same for gaming.

I mean, the 64 Gb emmc does have lower performance on load times which could pose problems on certain games beyond just lengthening loading times, but NMS isn’t one of these games.

What does the 500 Gb model have to do with anything?

- Comment on Bypassing Denuvo in Hogwarts Legacy 8 months ago:
I think this is by design and that only a unhinged person would have the patience to crack denuvo. Either that or it does that to your brain, which would truly be the greatest DRM on earth.

You know how “the most stable ABI on Linux is win32”? I wonder if there are already win32 viruses targeted at linux, shipped in cracked games for example.

…did they think people wanted bad d&d games? Of course people want great games of their favorite hobby, what does this even mean
- Comment on Am I the only one pissed off at these holiday sales? (US) 1 year ago:
Untrue. Most electronics are special made for black Friday and are worse products marketed as just the same.
- Comment on [Question] Anyone know if those Miscro sd cards work well on the Steam Deck? 1 year ago:
Its on the low side but still within reason. Its not just an OS, it’s an OS, a full steam install, a web browser( actually 2 of them because steam also packs an embedded browser), a desktop environment, HD animations, HD wallpapers (several of them) and it adds up quick.
