- Comment on HORI Steam Controller releases in the USA in December 2 weeks ago:
No rumble is a deal breaker for a $60 controller. I think I’ll stick with 8bitdo and maybe wait for a new Valve controller.
- Comment on What do you prefer for audio? Earphones, headphones, speakers? 1 month ago:
It’s not shielded properly, so the surrounding electronics cause crackles, buzzing and similar noise. AFAIK this was the case for all OLED models on launch. Might be fixed for newer ones, I’m not sure. Apparently it can be fixed by opening the Deck and sticking on some eletric insulation tape.
- Comment on What do you prefer for audio? Earphones, headphones, speakers? 1 month ago:
I mostly use the built-in speakers. Sometimes my IEMs, using a USB-C dongle as my OLED’s headphone jack is pretty noisy (I know it’s easy to fix, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet).

Unfortunately par for the course in game development.
- Comment on Games that support the Deck's multitouch 6 months ago:
They managed to do it somehow in any case.

- Comment on SuiPlay0x1 is a upcoming handheld that is going to run Playtron OS a Linux based (NOTE handheld is being made by blockchain company and with a potential price around $500) 7 months ago:
So, when is the token sale after which we’ll inevitably never hear from the project again?
- Comment on Sea of Thieves gets Easy Anti-Cheat - thankfully enabled for Steam Deck / Linux 8 months ago:
That’s true, though notably even the solo and friends-only options in SoT are still entirely online and share their progression with the main online mode. I agree that it would be cool to have a modding-friendly option that’s completely separate.
- Comment on Sea of Thieves gets Easy Anti-Cheat - thankfully enabled for Steam Deck / Linux 8 months ago:
While I would still prefer no anti-cheat
I’m curious, why’s that? For me, cheaters are extremely detrimental to enjoying online games.
- Comment on [Discussion] EmuDeck - Yuzu Citra, So what now? 8 months ago:
Both Yuzu and Citra are still available on the Discover Store, or at least they were when I checked ~12 hours ago. I don’t think Emudeck will uninstall it, they certainly aren’t required to.
- Comment on [Discussion] New month, new games. What are you playing on your Deck? - February 2024 9 months ago:
Currently playing through Mother 3. Great game, but not surprised it never got a Western release with all its dark themes.
- Comment on Protective case or not? 10 months ago:
Personally I wouldn’t really want to add any extra bulk to my Steam Deck. The case you linked also only really protects the back of the device, which shouldn’t be too susceptible to damage. Wouldn’t do anything to protect the screen, buttons or internals. If my Steam Deck’s shell ever does brake, I’d just buy a replacement one from e.g. JSAUX.
- Comment on Valve had finally fixed the OLED Deck wifi 6 bug, the fix is now available in beta channel update 3.5.12 10 months ago:
I’ve had that same bug without even having wifi 6. Maybe other routers in the area could have caused it? Curious to see if it’s fixed for me now, in any case.
- Comment on [Discussion] Steam Autumn sale is live! What are you buying to llay on your deck? 11 months ago:
Probably buying Cult of the Lamb. Waiting for my OLED Deck first though, still only at “packaged”. :/
- Comment on OLED - How is the HDR? 1 year ago:
According to Rich from Digital Foundry it’s very good. He compares it to a “top-end LG television”. He’s generally a very knowledgable person, so I expect great things.

- Comment on Steam just lost my sale. 1 year ago:
Could also have just been some regular buyers getting lucky while others didn’t get through. Bots would have had the same issues, getting through the broken servers.
- Comment on Good Times 1 year ago:
Looks like they have decent stock of the normal editions at least. Got mine after about 20 minutes and even now it still says shipping in 3-5 days for new orders. With the original Deck launch, people would probably be in like wave 3 at this point.
- Comment on Valve detail their plans to combat Steam Deck OLED scalpers 1 year ago:
Fortunately, Valve already took that decision from me, as I’m not in the US or Canada and the limited edition is unavailable. Otherwise I might have splurged on that too.
- Comment on Valve detail their plans to combat Steam Deck OLED scalpers 1 year ago:
I hope the fact that there are less restrictions for the regular OLED models is an indication that it’s available in huge numbers right from the start.
- Comment on Top 20 Steam Deck games of August 2023, by hours played 1 year ago:
Surprises me as well. I did briefly try it out on Deck but it seemed that my options were either very blurry or very laggy graphics. But still playable I guess if Steam Deck is your only option.
- Comment on [News] JSAUX launch a Steam Deck Anti-Glare screen replacement 1 year ago:
Missed opportunity not to give it significantly better color reproduction IMO. Just the anti glare with an otherwise minor improvement doesn’t seem worth the cost and hassle.
- Comment on Genshin Impact is pretty cool with gyro 1 year ago:
Cool, I will give that a try.

Does this work on SteamOS now or do I still need Windows?
- Comment on [Question] Switch and Deck users, which games do you still prefer to play on switch? 1 year ago:
I can just dock the Switch and connect 4 controllers, 2 of them already part of the system itself. For Steam Deck, the Dock would be a separate purchase and connecting 4 controllers more complicated than on the Switch.
- Comment on [Question] Switch and Deck users, which games do you still prefer to play on switch? 1 year ago:
Local multiplayer games and Switch exclusives.

Recently set up emudeck, and hardcore mode was a checkbox on the screen where you set up retroachievements.
