  The hardware is maybe no longer first gen but the games still are. Most feel like tech demos. The tech has been around long enough that you can start with an ok selection, but the space feels dead with almost no new launches of note or on the horizon.

  I think most people that use their headset regularly do it for the social experiences and maybe porn.

  I framed that a bit weird, what I meant is that as far as steam and the stats are concerned I disappeared off the face of the earth for the last 4 months, when in fact another old game has consumed me.

  Looks like this year I played exactly 0 new games. But what steam doesn’t know is that in September I started Cyberpunk on GOG and haven’t dropped it since. Has to be my game of the year now.

  Sure, that is the alternative, but nothing will beat the wide range of functionality that steam and valve provide. The death of this platform would be catastrophic.

  Been PC gaming on the couch for years now, either using a controller, trackball and 75% keyboard or a steam controller. Mouse pads are for work only as far as I’m concerned.
