Insane that this website is still up

Windows hibernation is about as broken as linux hibernation, i.e. they both mostly work most of the time, but there is good reason both hide them away by default (if you can really say linux hides anything, with these things being decided by distros and not kernel devs). It is naive to say windows has “solved” hibernation. Either you don’t use it much or have very basic hardware and software needs.
- Comment on Team Fortress 2 fans have launched a new campaign to get Valve to save it 5 months ago:
Holy shit how old are you (tldr is that Valve has decided to stop touching tf2. Nothing is happening to the game, but valve won’t fix the huge spinbot problem the game has that is making casual unplayable, and people have tried a couple of times to get them to pay attention)

Pretty neat you can get it on older models by just buying a new screen
- Comment on Steam Deck game library now 29% larger than that of Nintendo Switch 5 months ago:
Steam has a built in discovery queue that contains a list of games it thinks you might like (and it it infinite, so it technically contains every game on the platform)

Man if they would just bake a competent desktop into android then they would instantly fix the chicken-and-egg problem with desktop arm

Obviously anker would probably be fine, I am talking about these no-name boxes from unpronounceable amazon sellers

Ignoring lemmy.ml specific reasons, using a federated platform just to join the largest host is very very silly.

They are pretty controversial for a lot of reasons, but I think the main thing in your case is that they are very heavy handed in their moderation, an odd place to go when trying to avoid censors

Why lemmy.ml?
- Comment on Potential Super Cheap Charger - Ikea SJOSS 8 months ago:
I would be wary of such cheap USB-PD chargers. It is not uncommon for them to fail in ways that kill devices (I work for the tech department of a school district and we unfortunately have a strict OEM-only policy around chromebook chargers due to a wave of these killing chromebooks)

May I ask your thoughts on the recoilless over the expendable? In my experience the 70s cooldown on the expendable means you can almost always call one, and being able to bring a backpack is always nice.
- Comment on Steam Deck OLED now supports HDR Remote Play from PS5, unlike PlayStation Portal 11 months ago:
Nope. It is all local
