- Comment on Outside of gaming, how do you guys use your Steam Deck? 7 months ago:
Sometimes my wife likes to steamlink my desktop on the tv. In that case I hit my kvm button to switch over to my deck and use it as a backup desktop.
- Comment on How one unexpected game (Nier Automata) changed the Steam Deck forever 8 months ago:
I just finished cyberpunk and if nier can top that story then I’m sold. I also already own the game so might as well give it a go.
- Comment on New to Steam Deck and PC gaming, I'm looking for game recommendations... 8 months ago:
On top of all the great suggestions here I’d like to point out that the deck is a great emulation machine. Everything up to the ps2 era runs flawlessly but it can also do pretty well with Wii u, ps3 and Switch emulation too but performance will vary from title to title.
It’s also a great fallback in case the deck gets unhappy about not having a network connection (YMMV but some people have pretty bad issues with this) and steam games won’t start. Non steam games work just fine regardless of whether or not you have an internet connection.

103 hours in and one mission away from having nothing left to do. Amazing game and I can see myself doing it again in a year or two.

Lack of net neutrality is a huge part of it. Korean ISPs bill sites like twitch for the data they use.

So you don’t watch TV, you just like the audio distraction.
- Comment on US kids want games subscriptions and virtual currency more than games this Christmas 11 months ago:
Strictly speaking, I’m not opposed to monetization in f2p games but the pricing is egregious.
When the le seraffim bundle for overwatch 2 dropped they also put their in game currency on sale so you could get enough currency to get the bundle for $50 instead of $70 and people were calling it a great value.
Even at $50, that’s enough for 4 months of humble choice which would net you 32 games and 6-8 of them would be AAA games.
- Comment on constant apex updates are killing me 1 year ago:
Leave the deck running, steam link into it from your phone when you leave work and start any pending updates.
