- Comment on Should devs tell people about launch bugs in advance? “It’s an interesting problem” says Starfield and Skyrim designer 5 weeks ago:
Just delay the release and finish the game. I’m not paying to be a beta tester. I want the game-breaking AND immersion-breaking AND fps-reducing bugs fixed before launch. Games are expensive and while I don’t think that’s a bad thing, there’s still a bar I expect it to pass before it feels like a good value.

This no doubt has an audience so I don’t mean to throw shade but I can’t think of a game genre I want to play less than a 1v1 FPS lol
- Comment on Baldur's Gate 3 publishing director says "almost all games should cost more at a base level" because they cost so much to make 2 months ago:
I’ve never regretted buying a game full price less than BG3. My baseless rule of thumb for value is that $1 should get you an hour of fun and I’ve got like 400 hours in that game
- Comment on World Of Warcraft's latest expansion The War Within is live, adding a new continent, hero talents and Delves 2 months ago:
It’s pretty fun so far. I’ve only been to 2 zones but both are really nice. My friend said Hollowfall (?) is the best zone they’ve ever made which feels like really high praise since he’s played every expansion and has been fairly critical of retail…he might even quit SoD for TWW

I need machine learning for such an arduous task!
- Comment on AI PCs made up 14% of quarterly personal computer shipments, Canalys says 3 months ago:
Pretty useless statistic since there’s rarely (never?) an option for “AI” when ordering. It’s not like companies are offering their flagship AI machines without AI chips.
If I had to guess, the AI features were the reason 0% of people purchased said AI PCs
- Comment on Overwatch 2 may get 6v6 again as Blizzard try to bring back the "chaotic, over-the-top" variety of the first game 3 months ago:
I don’t play anymore but I much preferred it as 5v5. I have a million hours in OW1 but what made me quit was having to deal with a co-tank who clearly should have just queued for damage…
- Comment on STALKER 2 delayed until November to fix unexpected anomalies 3 months ago:
More games need to be delayed. Gamers can wait a couple months for a polished game and the suits needs to realize that

What a fuckin waste of an article. Why make this without having any information?
The “schedule” is ONE game (Donkey Kong, January) followed entirely by undetermined release dates.
Bullshit bot post from a bullshit website

- Comment on How Apple tricks people into believing the iPhone is cool 7 months ago:
I mostly agree but the cultural force behind it is a significant part of why it’s so popular and that force is classist. “You’re a poor if you don’t have an iPhone and I don’t associate with poors”
Both sides of the “debate” have people baselessly hating the “opposition” since the start but for the record, the green bubble shit was created by iPhone users on their high horses - not Android users.
My family is 60% android, 40% iPhone, and 100% unphased by anyone’s choice in phones. Anyone who gives a shit about what other people use is a pocket watcher. Mind your damn business.

- Comment on President Joe Biden makes surprise appearance on 10th anniversary of 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' 8 months ago:
What? Trump had nothing to do with abortion being protected. Biden didn’t overturn it. Are you being deliberately obtuse?
Republicans want further restrictions. You know this. What do you think will happen if we vote in another Republican - especially one as hostile as Trump?
Thanks for clarifying, but if that’s how you feel I’m never engaging with you again and will take the very easy step to ensure that.
Lmao damn I’ve been owned by Lemmy’s smartest user!! How will I recover
- Comment on President Joe Biden makes surprise appearance on 10th anniversary of 'Late Night with Seth Meyers' 8 months ago:
The fight for Roe is still active. It may have been repealed but there’s pushing in both directions - remember that those rights still exist in many states. Trump would change that for sure.
Biden is old but this is definitely not an example of his memory going. He knew what he said and what he said was true.
