Givin’ it the ol’ Skyrim treatment, eh?

As much as I want to wait for Skyblivion (I mean I’ve been waiting 13 years…) I would probably get the official remake/remaster as well. I’ve been wanting to replay Oblivion ever since Skyrim came out, and playing it on my Steam Deck would be amazing.

Without any kind of teasing beforehand? I personally find it unlikely.

    Remake Morrowind.

Oh wait, Skywind is taking care of that.

I’ve always wanted to play Oblivion but couldn’t get past the graphics so I’m on board to buy it when it goes on sale in a year

I wonder if this will be as moddable as other BGS titles.

I would be amazed if it wasn’t since Bethesda proper heavily depends on user mods and the remake would likely want to reuse at least the logic in the .esm files (or whatever they were back then).

That said: Expect all existing Oblivion mods to not work without a LOT of effort (so all the usual anger) and likely an even bigger push for the Creation Club/paid mod marketplace.

They’ve been .esm files since Morrowind!
