  We learned at the end of 2020 that Overwatch is at its best when it’s constantly updated and always feeling fresh. The patch cadence was never faster than it was at the end of 2020, and the game felt amazing.

  In my opinion, 6v6 won’t work unless the patch cadence speeds up to what it was back then. 6v6 means long DPS queue times, and was unbearable at the end of OW1. If OW2 want looming around the corner back then, the game would have died. The fast patch cadence keeping the game fresh somewhat makes up for the 10, 15, 20 minute queue times.

  That being said, the current implementation of 5v5 misses the mark as well. DPS and Support players are somewhat spoiled with 5v5, both with queue times and gameplay. But the Tank role suffers mightily. Over the years the game and hero design philosophy has shifted to be dependent on 2 tanks being able to soak up enemy cooldowns, cover for each other, and protect the team. Putting all that responsibility on one player sucks.

  Aaron’s blog post makes me hopeful that they’re gonna try stuff beyond 1-2-2 5v5 versus 2-2-2 6v6 though, which is exciting. I don’t envy the dev team because this is an incredibly difficult problem to solve, but it seems like they’re willing to get more creative about trying to solve it than they have been in the past, which is nice.

  There’s a dual joycon grip that comes with the console in certain combo pack thingies, but there’s also an aftermarket one you can buy. The one that came with my console doesn’t have a charge port, but my aftermarket one does. I’m pretty sure it’s a first party Nintendo product, but I could be wrong.

  The fact that Nintendo is just now making a joycon cradle is insane though, along with the fact that it can only charge two at a time. I bought a 3rd party joycon cradle months after getting my switch for like 20 bucks, and it can fit 4 joycons.

  So I only bring this up because I had my world shattered like 3 months ago when I built a new PC - the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo cooler is really expensive these days, like, $80-$90 (there are some models that use the same name but have different heat pipe configurations that drop down into the $50-$60 range, but aren’t the ol tried and true 212 that we all bought in the 2010s), and a complete ripoff, and it’s really sad.

  You can get some Noctua coolers for a few more bucks, or pay a third of that price for a Peerless Assassin, or pay about half again that price for something from ID-cooling, all for similar or better performance to the 212. It’s no longer the automatic choice it once was. The king has been dethroned.

  You shouldn’t store flour in the paper bag it comes in anyways, flour should be stored in an airtight container.
