Well, I suppose it works on windows, but I’m not an expert 🤷🏻

Since WSL 2, it is a full VM connected through RDP, or at least that is what I learned somewhere.
- Comment on The Plucky Squire recently came out, and used the Steam Deck to represent PC 2 months ago:
You need WSL to run it on windows /s

My point is that it has at least not to crash instantly on try to start. There are some games that do that on the deck 😇

High end windows laptop
And I see that one can argue that try running it is good enough, but instant crashing file would I myself not call a member of the game library. If that would be the case, any device that is able to download files has the “biggest game library“

Never told that it matters 😇 I game on an nvida 980 endeavourOS PC myself. Steam deck is probably able to run more games than that 😂
- Comment on Microsoft paves the way for Linux gaming success with plan that would kill kernel-level anti-cheat 2 months ago:
I bet it is similar to android “mimimi this is sideloaded version, I will not start that, download original version from play (bzw. MS store) store plz” feature
Effects that anti cheat software games only can be sold via MS store, great! /s

Lol

But you can still not run all games that a high end desktop can
- Comment on There's a reason we aren't as harsh on the Steam Deck. Actually, a couple. 2 months ago:
But has not the power to run all the games a high end desktop can.
- Comment on There's a reason we aren't as harsh on the Steam Deck. Actually, a couple. 2 months ago:
Yes, but it has still a bigger game library as steam deck has and thus calling steam deck having “bigges game library on earth” is just bullshit.
But maybe there is a joke in that, that woooshed over me…

It is not “biggest game library on earth” I bet, that would still be a high-end desktop running windows…

If you want arch but you have live (/jk) you can just use endeavorOS. It is Arch but with an easy installer that even sets up yay, so afterwards you can just write „yay [desired pakage]“ to install stuff
You have to enable firewall for each service (each port on which your pc is reachable) and I recommend systemd-manager to have a easy overview on which deamons are running.
Ah, yea, if you want NVIDIA driver, you can use nvidia-inst and to switch back to nouveau, use nvidia-inst -n

I don’t have a steamdeck, but I guess it is the same as for any Linux device (your storage option should not matter). I’d say most important is the video out spec, like what resolution and how many hz (ideally the same as your TV) and how many USB ports it has. I’m full on USB C guy, so I’d value those more than legacy USB A.
- Comment on [Discussion] Do you have franchise fatigue? Or is there still a franchise that you enjoy seeing? 10 months ago:
I’m still on the marvel train, but I was fascinated by the comics already and really love to be in a Marvel universe “from the start” I really don’t have fatigue there, they even cut release a series every month and I happily consume it, lol
