Mass Effect 2 for the second time years after playing it on Playstation 3
- Comment on How do you manage your Steam Deck as a family device? 2 weeks ago:
Family sharing is a great idea, but for now it only works with one of the two games I bought for my kids.
Street Fighter V and Sonic All Star Racing work flawlessly on my profile, but Sonic doesn’t work on my kid’s profiles, which is weird as it’s supposed to support family sharing.
- Comment on How do you manage your Steam Deck as a family device? 2 weeks ago:
Well for now all the kids games were bought on Steam so it’s easy to just use the Steam family.
I guess I’ll stick to Steam games for them and try to get verified ones so that there is almost nothing to set up.
On GOG I only have adult games or old kid games that my kids would probably find too old because it ain’t Fortnite anyway, but I wish it was easy to share things in a family through GOG.
And I know the games are DRM free so I can just copy them, but I wouldn’t want to have multiple installs on my Deck which already doesn’t have enough storage…
- Comment on How do you manage your Steam Deck as a family device? 2 weeks ago:
I don’t agree as that’s why you can switch profiles.
Also the Deck is cheap, but what’s the point of having 3 devices when only one person is really using it and the kids would just it once in a while.
We have one kitchen so we can have one Deck😅

Someone call the police as 140$ for such a great device is a steal.
I paid 300$ for mine and I’m almost not using my Playstation 5 anymore, except for really demaning games and Sim Racing.
It also allowed me to sell my Switch and its games for 239$, so you could say I paid 61$ for my LCD Deck with 256gb😅
- Comment on [Discussion] What are you playing on your Deck? - October 2025 1 month ago:
XCOM 2 is a great game to play on the Deck. The touchpad are perfect for such games and I eouldn’t picture myself playing it with a mouse/keyboard or Playstation 5 controller.
- Comment on Steam Deck LCD 256GB on sale for 20% off ($400 -> $320) 1 month ago:
I have an LCD Steam Deck which I got used for around 300$ since I already have a Ps5 and the Deck was my first time trying pc gaming.
Because of how everyone was praising the OLED, I thought the screen would be bad, but it is awesome to my eyes.
The battery management is the annoying part of an handheld, but you also have it, maybe less, with the OLED.

Well thanks for all these infos.
I guess I’d need to improve my knowledge for such things.
- Comment on Steam Deck plugin adds AMD FSR4 support to improve visuals 1 month ago:
Well I’ve just learned that you already had FSR 1-2 in Steam OS without adding any plugin. So I guess what I was talking about is already there but I’m just not using it😅

I’m tempted by all these frane gen mods, but I don’t want to install decky loader for now as Steam Os already feels a bit too beta for me compared to want I’m used to on Gnome or Playstation.
- Comment on [Discussion] What games are you playing on your deck? - September 2025 2 months ago:
Not at all. I used to be a Playstation gamer so I guess I’m not used to mods😅
My only modification is to lock it at 30fps and 5 TDP for better battery life.
- Comment on [Discussion] What games are you playing on your deck? - September 2025 2 months ago:
Mass Effect 1 as the Deck is perfect for enjoying these moderatly old games 👍
- Comment on New rumor suggests Valve's Steam Deck 2 is much further away than we thought 2 months ago:
I guess it’s consumerism and people always wanting more.
I’d be happy if the Steam Deck 2 wasn’t released until 2028 as I’ve just got my used LCD in 2025.
- Comment on New rumor suggests Valve's Steam Deck 2 is much further away than we thought 2 months ago:
Other manufacturers adopting Steam OS is a great sign, but it’d be nice to still get a really polished, maybe less powerful, device from Valve.
- Comment on New rumor suggests Valve's Steam Deck 2 is much further away than we thought 2 months ago:
Well good because the Steam Deck ain’t old yet.
I think in 2028, getting a Steam Deck 2 would be nice for the people who want something more powerful and fresh.
2026 would be too early for my taste.
Depending on how powerful the Steam Deck 2 and its ease of use when docking it, it might become my only gaming system (Steam Deck and Playstation 5 for now).
- Comment on How to have separate controller layouts for each game in Heroic game launcher? 2 months ago:
Thanks for the help. Yes apparently Heroic supports achievements through something called Comet.
- Comment on How to have separate controller layouts for each game in Heroic game launcher? 2 months ago:
Well I wanted to avoid adding them as non-steam games if it meant losing the achievements but apparently (according to Bjoern), it wouldn’t be the case

I bought an used LCD model a few months ago and got surprised by the quality of its screen.
Of course the LCD might be better (haven’t tested it), but I’m really happy with my screen.

What would be the benefits?
I only got interested in it because you could have gnome instead of Kde in desktop mode, but I haven’t heard about other benefits and there are pribably downsides too.

That was it! Thanks
In game mode, clicking on the list would only show me the Linux version.
In desktop mode it allowed me to select the Windows version 👍

- Comment on How stable are Decky Loader and its plugins in 2025 ? 3 months ago:
It’s a really good topic as I was also wondering if installing deckyloader would be worth it and if it would affect my Deck’s performance.

Thanks, I might try it some day then👍
- Comment on Separate power progiles for dockend/handheld mode 3 months ago:
Oh that’s interesting.
Sounds complicated but doable. Have you ever used it?
- Comment on Separate power progiles for dockend/handheld mode 3 months ago:
Sadly I don’t think you have these in gaming mode.
Maybe in desktop mode though since Steam OS uses KDE.
