I’m hoping third parties have accessories out by the time it drops. I’d rather buy a boboVR kit at half the cost or something

As long as you can reach out in all directions without hitting anything, you can do stationary VR and/or just use in-game locomotion (aka, move with analog stick or teleports.) Stuff like Beat Saber, pistol whip, racing sims, flight sims, any kind of cockpit game is fantastic here.
I started Half Life Alyx in a similar space to yours, just the area behind my desk with my chair pushed in, teleporting for movement (analog movement makes me motion sick, that’s why teleporting is a popular workaround), but I found myself wanting to strafe and lean around corners.
So I moved my PC to the living room and had a ~20x11 foot space to play Half Life Alyx in, with my couches stood up on end and pushed the the wall. I ended up walk 20ft > rotate 180 > walk 20ft for almost the entire game and it was amazing. My feet were sore by the end, though.

My man. I have also been fighting with Windows DPI scaling on a 4k TV, and some games wanting to be 300% larger than my screen. I have to go into compatibility settings and tell those games to ignore Windows scaling. Can this tool manage that too?

I need a script to put that into every goddamn game on steam and another to auto refund any game it doesn’t work with. I’m tired of dragging out the m+kb from the couch

Sure, as long is you’re not a steam deck LCD owner. I just set mine to not sleep when docked

I just found out my boss would scroll imgur directly. I only ever knew it as the image host of choice on reddit. Very rarely I’d click thru an imgur link to an album and then stay on the site to scroll a few more images, but that’s it.

We can’t even get websites to comply with the GDPR and there’s actual laws about it, this is literally nothing

Ah, well I agree that definitely looks unenforceable to me

I don’t think I have a preference on the touchpads honestly but I vastly prefer the steam deck controls overall. Been hoping for a standalone steam controller 2 ever since it came out

Did you respond to the wrong person or something?

I’d bet they’re steam controller touch pads, and they’re quite a bit bigger than the final steam deck ones. Probably normal sized sticks too, with that in mind. The sizes are relatively identical to my steam controller

Fwiw the switch is also significantly more portable. I love my deck but I only use it at home in bed or on the couch. I wouldn’t really try using it in public.
