  Yeah I just switched to IVPN because of this. I had about 30 days left on my subscription when the news first broke, so I figured I’d give them that long to see if they handled it well. Their wishy-washy response to it made me pull the plug.

  Yeah it’s pretty much a meme at this point that Bethesda games are unplayable at launch. Presumably the next step is adding AI slop into the mix or something like that.

  The kickstarter for this game started before GTA 5 came out.

  I didn’t get a PS5 when it came out for the same reason. Now it’s more expensive than it was at launch and my wages haven’t changed.

  I genuinely can’t see any reason to get one. Like… if you’re a PC gamer with enough spare cash to get one, you can probably get a better gaming PC for the same money. If you’re a console gamer, there’s no reason to switch because the 512gb with no controller is almost double the cost of a five year old PS5, which has better specs and a controller, plus you’d have to buy all your games again, if they’re even available on Steam (and also if they even work in Linux.) The only thing I think it could be be good for is as a budget gaming PC, but it’s wildly over-priced for that.

  Not Valve’s fault of course, but yeah there’s no way for me personally.

  One thing you could look into is your router, some of them let you run a VPN directly on the router and you can choose which devices go through the VPN based on MAC address (at least that’s how mine works) so that way I get my Steam Deck going through Mullvad without installing it on the Deck.

  Of course that only works when you’re on your home network though, so it’s a bit limited.

  Trey Parker is also only missing the Oscar, which I really hope he gets at some point because that would be hilarious.

  Also Martin Scorsese is just missing the Tony, so I propose we have Scorsese direct a Broadway adaptation of Cannibal! The Musical, and Trey Parker direct a film remake of Taxi Driver and see if we can put this to rights.
