- Comment on [PSA] 2.4g Controllers and interference with USB 3 ports (e.g. docks) 1 week ago:
Sort of a known issue via Zigbee coordinators and USB 3 - using a USB extending cable for the dongle should fix the issue
- Comment on 2 weeks ago:
Probably going to happen regardless of survey, since Lenovo is doing it
- Comment on Valve is looking to add an optional battery charge limit to the SD, to preserve battery life 3 weeks ago:
Sure, but that helps prevent degradation due to charging cycles, not charging capacity

Would definitely be really nice since we tend to leave our Steam Decks plugged in all day
- Comment on Might as well get a laptop??? 1 month ago:
Tbf, the Steam Deck shows up as device type: laptop in the Steam Deck Hardware Survey.

If you don’t want to set up anything, you could just use Steam Screenshots

- Comment on Razer announced the Razer Handheld Dock Chroma for your Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Legion Go and more 1 month ago:
Indeed, but since they’re trying to be competitive on price here, I wonder if they’re competitive on features…

Wonder if supports CEC like the Steam Dock
- Comment on [Guide] Steam Deck Hardware Guide - includes mods, hardware revisions, and more 1 month ago:
Valve won’t be anytime soon (valvetime)
Though other OEMs will (and maybe have SteamOS soon).
I will say that the Steam Deck is well crafted - if all the games you’d like to play are compatible with the specs, I’d just recommend it based on all the previous support it’s received.
- Comment on GE-Proton 9-22 released with lots of game fixes for Linux / Steam Deck 1 month ago:
Yep, just use Protonup
- Comment on [Discussion] What games are you playing on your deck? - January 2025 1 month ago:

Been nice since the SO also has a steam deck now.
- Comment on JSAUX released their first White 6-in-1 Docking Station for handhelds like Steam Deck 2 months ago:
Wonder if this has CEC support, that’s a pretty important feature they’ve finally added to the Steam Dock
- Comment on Sony is reportedly working on a PS5 portable 2 months ago:
Ehhh…
It was very limited by the decisions Sony made.
Proprietary memory cards (that were fuuuucking expensive, not to mention its high MSRP for the unit itself), having to manually sign into PSN to check messages instead of some sort of push notification system, very limited library (and no cross over purchases from the PSP) - it was essentially a glorified remote play console, and was abandoned soon after launch as Sony focused on the PS4.
- Comment on Hori’s officially licensed Steam controller is coming to the US 3 months ago:
A shame it doesn’t have hall effect thumbsticks (and vibration), but more quality controllers I will not shake a stick at.

Valbe should automatically stop sales of any game that dips from verified to unplayable over these shenanigans.
- Comment on There's a reason we aren't as harsh on the Steam Deck. Actually, a couple. 5 months ago:
Why $100?
It works with any USB-C hub - I spent $15 on a hub and $5 on an HDMI cable.

Cheapest OLED steam deck is $549.00 (USD) while the most expensive is $649.00 (USD).
So really either way not only all those positives, but it’s also at least $50 cheaper (which you can use to buy several games on Steam…)
- Comment on Steam Families is here 5 months ago:
Very nice - glad to not need the beta since it messed with some Steam Deck stuff like Gungeon video settings and the default dock volume…
- Comment on X caught blocking links to NPR, claiming the news site may be 'unsafe' 5 months ago:

Hope the Families beta is released to stable soon - the beta has some weird volume and display issues with some games (Gungeon is a good example).

- Comment on Dragon Age: The Veilguard Is Verified For Steam Deck 6 months ago:
Nice to see AAA developers targeting it, though considering what’s continued to happen to Dragon Age since after Origins… not sure I’m excited for it.
- Comment on Will anything dethrone the Steam Deck? Probably not -GamingonLinux 7 months ago:
When lots game developers start releasing ARM or RISC-V versions
That is more than a little funny, given Valve’s release of Proton, and their stance on Native Linux builds (they recommended against it - just use proton)
