I think the stigma around sex/sexuality is still so prevalent in our society that it will continue to be a big deal.
yeah I can see that being one of the biggest hurdles in order for sextortion to lose the most power
For it to really lose power, the acceptance of sex and open sexuality needs to become ubiquitous in the culture and society.
I agree.
With conservatives currently dismantling/disincentivizing sex education in Canada and America, it’s unfortunately not going to happen this year

this is becoming so prevalent that I have to wonder at what point might society think that sextorsion has no power over people?
I’m thinking of this as similar to a ransomware blackmail/extorsion scam
