I’m glad this wasn’t the final design. Those haptic pads and small sticks look awful to use.
Nonetheless, this is cool as hell to see!

Steam Deck is straight superior to the Switch.

I hated those little bastards in Disco Elysium. Such good writing and voice acting.

Thought I was the only one with this problem. Wish everything would just work immediately when plugged in, but it doesn’t

Holy shit man, that’s hilarious yet also infuriating. Scummy tactics from Microsoft as usual.
- Comment on [Discussion] What are you playing on your deck? - February 2025 2 months ago:
Nothing currently. Tbh I’m a bit worried by how my deck has been collecting dust recently. I can’t really figure out what I want from the device.
- Comment on Cyberpunk 2077 Has Finally Hit Overwhelmingly Positive On Steam 2 months ago:
I still just don’t like the game, even with all the updates and fixes. It’s missing so much potential customisation that I’d like to see in a cyberpunk game. There’s not much to do in the city outside of missions and I hate the bulletsponge enemies with the RPG style hitpoints system. I also dislike the in game UI.
I’ve tried to get into it no less than 7 times, but its always felt like a chore and I give up.

- Comment on When the Steam Deck was still just an idea, Valve says some staff were like, "I just want that for me" and "the point wasn't even to make a product out of it" 5 months ago:
In the early days I thought it would be some niche gimmick that would never take off. Turns out it wasn’t and it’s the best handheld gaming machine ever made.
It feels good to be wrong!
- Comment on Valve still waiting on a 'generational leap' for Steam Deck 2 - but it's coming 5 months ago:
Might sound kind of stupid, but one thing I’d personally love for the steam deck would be the ability to detach the display from the controls on each side like the Nintendo switch so I could use it like a small tablet in portrait mode. You can already do that, but it’s awkward and bulky.
I’d actually use it for browsing the web on desktop mode and I could probably get rid of my android tablet.
- Comment on Valve will finally sell the Steam Deck in Australia 5 months ago:
My neighbours wife loves my deck. She says it’s the biggest deck she’s ever seen.
- Comment on [Discussion] What games are you playing on your deck? - October 2024 6 months ago:
Ghost of Tsushima and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I finished the main story of both games yesterday but now I’ve got DLC to play.

Go to hell Nintendo. I will never buy anything from them again and I will advise gamers I know to do the same.

That’s the one!

The weird jumping/flickering animation when pressing play on a game in gaming mode and “Launching game…” appears.
Doesn’t have any impact on actually launching the games but it’s just annoying.
Thought it was Decky at first but I’ve tried disabling it and it still does it.
- Comment on DOOM + DOOM II enhanced versions get Steam Deck Verified 7 months ago:
I’ve been able to play every game that I’ve thrown at the steam deck. “Unsupported” be damned.
- Comment on [Discussion] What games have you been playing on your deck? - September 2024 7 months ago:
Ghost of Tsushima, Pursuit Force (old PSP game emulated), Driver: Parallel lines, Easy Red 2, Road Redemption, Hotline Miami, Kingdom Come: Deliverance
- Comment on The one accesory I would recommend with the Deck 7 months ago:
For me it’s better on top since I sometimes play with the deck rested on a cushion on my lap.
- Comment on Black Myth: Wukong shows very clearly Valve are selling a lot of Steam Decks 7 months ago:
The steam deck is user repairable, has very good hardware, is reasonably priced, and has fully customisable software.
Obviously can’t speak for everyone but those reasons are why Valve got my custom. Personally I think it’s a fantastic device and I can’t praise it enough. Buying one was a no brainer for me.
(Apologies if this reads like an ad lol)
