It might be pretty impressive wireless, idk I guess we’ll have to wait and see. But nothing is going to beat a wired connection. You also don’t have to worry about battery life with a wired connection. I can do a 4 hour race in VR with a wired headset, maybe can’t do that on a device that has 1-2 hour battery life.
If it charges faster than it draws power while in use, then I can just leave it plugged in, but at that point I’d rather it not have a battery to reduce weight, and not use wireless communication
I think this headset just isn’t for me unfortunately

I want to be interested in it so bad, but the fact it’s also a standalone device, driving the price up massively, means it’s really not what Im looking for in a Sim racing VR headset. I also don’t want the latency of a wireless device.
I’d just love something like my HP reverb G2 that is Linux compatible honestly

- Comment on Valve dev counters calls to scrap Steam AI disclosures, says it's a "technology relying on cultural laundering, IP infringement, and slopification" 8 months ago:
Downloading isn’t stealing??? Are you delusional? It is in this case. Just because the law doesn’t recognise it is irrelevant, I’m not talking about legality, I’m talking about the ethics of ripping off small, underpaid artists.
Download a game, or a movie, or an album without the required license. That’s piracy.
If I download a Disney movie, and use clips of it in my game, how do you think a court case would go?
Or if I download idk, a Taylor Swift album and use that in my game without a license, do you think the law would agree with me or Taylor Swift?
And my only excuse is “I couldn’t afford to make my own music so I used yours”?
Using ai is no different. You’re taking someone else’s work, not paying for it, and using it in your training model without permission.
Just because they may have no ill intent is irrelevant, it only speaks to their ignorance on the matter.
“I’m sorry officer I didn’t mean to speed, I had no ill intent”. Ok, you’re still getting a ticket. Ignorance is no excuse.

Strongly disagree. You’re basically saying smaller developers shouldn’t be punished for theft just because they can’t afford to pay artists.
Ai use, as the article outlined, is based on cultural laundering and IP theft.
So yeah, if you can’t make a game without stealing art, don’t make a game. And if you make a game with stolen art, you absolutely deserve to be review bombed.
And before you say ai generated art isn’t theft, the models are absolutely trained on stolen art
- Comment on UK | London targets noisy commuters with headphone campaign 11 months ago:
My phone has a headphone jack, so it’s easy for me to plug in some headphones. Most people are not that lucky.
Obviously you shouldn’t be playing audio out loud, but I do sympathize that simply plugging in headphones isn’t an option for most people, needing to carry dongles, or making sure Bluetooth headphones are charged.
I think some blame should be placed on device manufacturers mostly abandoning the industry standard
- Comment on Steam drops Windows 7 and 8 support with the latest client — users told to ‘update to a more recent version of Windows’ to continue gaming 1 year ago:
I think that’s exactly their point. Why would Valve tell users to “upgrade” to a more recent version of Windows? Tell them to upgrade to Linux
- Comment on Spotify is going to break every Car Thing gadget it ever sold 2 years ago:
the full screen ads for irrelevent (to you) music is one of my biggest gripes. Spotify i’ve never listened to a Taylor Swift song in my life, i don’t give a shit if she has a new album and you know that!
