- Comment on Microsoft’s ‘unhackable’ Xbox One has been hacked by 'Bliss' 3 days ago:
Is the XBox One the new one? Or the one after Xbox 360? The only company who knows how to name their consoles is Sony.
Microsoft is trying to confuse the audience by saying “oh, they have the playstation 3? We have the Xbox 360! That’s 357 higher than 3!”
I don’t own any Xbox’s. I don’t know the order they came out in. But even if I never owned a playstation, I could tell you 5 is the newest one, because 6 hasn’t come out yet.
And then there’s Nintendo…who may genuinely be on drugs when they name their consoles. I mean for gods sake! One of them was named after a penis, and one was named after a bdsm role.
Which one is the Xbox One again?
- Comment on Microsoft Patents Reveal AI-Powered Xbox Helper System That Can Play Games for You 2 weeks ago:
Ya know? Maybe the boomers had a point. Maybe kids are getting lazier. In MY day, we saved the princess ourselves! Then minecraft came along, and besides being mispronounced as Hitlers book title, it made it ok to not do anything. You CAN go mine for iron, or diamond. You don’t HAVE TO. But you can.
Or you can stay here and play creative mode, and just build a house.
Or you can find a village, and be roommates with them.
Flash forward 15 years, and now we don’t even have to play the games ourselves???
Alright listen here ya little shits! You’re going to play nothing but TMNT on NES until you can beat the dam level. Too many kids going soft! In MY day, we used to practice practice practice until we could beat up Mike Tyson. Back when Mike Tyson was a ferral threat to society AND the boxing world! Now even Iron Mike is more like Squishy Playdoh Mike. Hell, even one of the Paul brothers beat him.
Kids these days don’t know the thrill of gathering 20 kids to a TV, and watching an epic run of Battletoads, or Contra. You bet your ass we’re going to finish! Every kid in the neighborhood is here! If you fail, everybody’s gonna know. The world is watching!
These days? It’s all online gaming, alone in a room. Nothing matters. There’s no stakes. No reputation on the line. You’re all just alone and sad. I guess you may as well let the game play itself, if you aren’t going to take this seriously.

AI does not lie.
Last year AI claimed “bleach” is a popular pizza topping. Nobody claimed this as their own work. It’s just what a chatbot said.
Are you saying AI didn’t lie? Is bleach a popular pizza topping?

Old predictions are correct. However, now it only comes with 128mb of ram.
Which back in 1998 was really good! Hey, do you like Grim Fandango, Warcraft 2, and Roller Coaster Tycoon? Because you can play them!

They already have. I went to McDonalds 2 years ago. They had a giant kiosk where you ring up your own order. I also saw an automated machine drop fries into the oil. I also saw an automated drink machine that did everything besides put lids on top.
Basically what I remember from the early 2000s as a job at mcdonalds no longer exists. I would be on register, and I had one guy doing nothing but fries, and another guy doing nothing but drinks. With this system, 1 human did all 3 roles. Because the register was eliminated. The fries was just a matter of scooping the already prepared fries into the sleeve, the drinks was just a matter of putting the lid on top. So now 3 empoyees became 1. And I had no idea what was going on in the grill. In my day you had 2 guys on grill and 1 guy doing utility work. Wouldn’t surprise me if 3 became 1 again.

Hey Nintendo! You realize I got tons of these ideas, right? I could go all day with this! You could hire me to be an idea man. But first, you have to answer me one question…
WHY THE FUUUUUCK DID YOU NOT BUY RARE IN 2001??? THEY CLEARLY WERE PREFERING YOU TO BUY THEM!!! YOU TRUSTED THEM WITH THE DONKEY KONG IP! WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED???
- Comment on Rockstar have been accused of union busting after the firing of more than 30 staff members 4 months ago:
Those 30 employees should band together, create “Superstar games”, with their new hit game “Grand Theft Spaceman”. A game about stealing spaceships, and running crime empires in the same type of universe as star trek, or star wars, or the Jetsons.
Just float out in space, press the triangle button, and enter the space ship, and hijack it. I’m sure no one has used that formula before…
- Comment on Microsoft reportedly estimated that Game Pass led to $300 million in lost sales of Black Ops 6, with 82% of copies sold being on the Game Pass-less PlayStation 5 5 months ago:
You are not going to believe this! I have a great bridge, sturdy bridge, fantastic bridge actually. The government wants to tear it down because I don’t have the $100 dollars to fix a minor problem. You know how it is. Avacado toast price just keeps going up…
Point is, I could sell you this bridge. It’s in your neighborhood, and it normally has a value of 1 million dollars. I’m just looking to get rid of it. So I’ll sell it to you for $100. This sale isn’t meant to be public, so don’t tell anyone, otherwise they might offer me more money. And this sale is just for you! Because I like you…

- Comment on Sony makes the “difficult decision” to raise PlayStation 5 prices in the US 6 months ago:
I’ve been gaming since 1985 whenI was 2 years old.
I cannot for the life of me remember a situation where 5 years after a console releases, they RAISE the price. And its not even like “New PS5 pro edition + knuckles”.
This is just “It’s the PS5. Pay us more money, assholes! Same shit as before. Now with more cost! Kiss the taint, peasants!”
- Comment on AOL will end dial-up internet service in September, 34 years after it's debut — AOL Shield Browser and AOL Dialer software will be shuttered on the same day 7 months ago:
Old people everywhere:
“Why is there an extra $19.99 in my account every month?”
I’m 100% certain that’s why AOL dialup still “existed”. Just charging old people for a service that doesn’t get used. And now so many people have fallen off over the years that it’s no longer profitable to keep the “service” going.

Right. I remember playing final fantasy 7 in the 90s. I softlocked myself by being underpowered for a boss, but unable to grind.
Turned it off, and when I turned it back on 5 years later, I was in a different area. No idea when/how J got there, but clearly I went back and did SOMETHING, but now had no idea where to go, or what to do.
I’m not starting over, but also, I’m not going to figure this out.
So now we’re 20 years later, and I have no idea where that memory card even is.
- Comment on Eric Barone, the guy who can't stop updating Stardew Valley, says the words "I might eventually make a Stardew Valley 2" 10 months ago:
Sequal idea: Same map. Same characters. New added characters. Expanded map area.
But here’s the catch. If you want to know where any given character is on a non-event day, just stalk them on that day. If you see a person is at the beach on a Tuesday at 8pm, they will ALWAYS be on the beach at 8pm on non-event Tuesdays.
What if we introduced a needs system? Lets say Marnie needs love. Well she’ll go find the mayor. But maybe she needs to shower more than she needs love. Well, now she’s going home, showering, THEN she’ll go find Lewis.
And each characters needs meters are unique. For example, Pam and Shane could have alcohol needs. But Jazmine might be aged up from age 5 to age 13. She wouldn’t have an alcohol need. But she might have a need to be hugged. In which case, she’d go find Penny.
And maybe we introduce visitors. Create like 4,000 sprite models, and have 20 visitors each day visit the town. That way, it’s not the same people visiting everyday, but there’s always some people visiting.
Maybe make more visitors on Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays, and less visitors Monday and Tuesdays.
And you could tie the games economy to the visitors. The more they spend, the more the local shops can upgrade their shop. But they get incentivized to come spend money based on what quality those shops carry. Which in turn is based on what you sell (or don’t sell) them.
